Zero error of ammeter is the error when there is no current flows through the circuit and needle of ammeter is not at zero

Ampere is the unit of electric current

Explanation:

  • Zero error in ammeter is the instrumental error when the actual value of current is zero and needle of ammeter is far away from the zero of ammeter scale that is needle and zero of scale does not coincide
  • To avoid this error we should note down the position of needle at zero reading the subtract that number from every consecutive reading
  • Ampere is the unit of electric current and it is measured with the help of device known as ammeter
  • Ampere is represented by the symbol A
