The noble gases, in order of their density, are helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon and radon. They are called noble gases because they are so majestic that, in general, they don't react with anything. For this reason they are also known as inert gases

Answer:

zero group elements or inert gases are also called noble gas becoz of their stability . their outermost shell is completed (i.e they have complete duplet and octet).

or, in other words their outermost shell is complete.

for example : Helium , whose atomic number is 2 , completes it duplet . the no. of electrons on each shells is given by the formulae 2n^2 (where n = no. of electrons)
