Step-by-step explanation:

ax² + bx+c=0

x² + (b/a) x+(c/a) =0

Let the zeroes are p and q

Now

x² + (b/a) x+(c/a) =(x-p) (x-q)

x² + (b/a) x+(c/a)=x^2-qx-px+pq

x² + (b/a) x+(c/a)=x^2-(p+q)x+pq

Compairing both sides....

p+q=-b/a

pq=c/a
