*Zimbabwe attained the independence in 1980 from white minority
*The country has been under the rule of ZANU-PF party which led the freedom struggle
*Leader of ZANU-PF party- Robert Mugabe
*In Zimbabwe Election held regularly but ZANU-PF party always won the election.
*Since the party won the elections continuously it's leader Mugabe was the president of the country.
*President Mugabe is popular but he uses unfair practiced in the election
*Over year his govt. changed the constitution several times to increase the power of the president and make him less accountable
*Opposition party workers were harassed and their meetings were disrupted
*TV and radio were controlled by the govt. and gave only the ruling party's version
*When the govt. ignored some court judgements that went against it.
*So, From this we can say that the Zimbabwe is not considered to be a democratic country.. Even because of these things Mugabe got support to frame laws according to his sake
