Yes, Zinc and aluminium are highly reactive metals and thats the exact reason why they are choosen to resist corrosion in other elements. Though zinc and aluminium are highly reactive,but their oxides are non reactive. Hence corrosive metals like iron is coated with zinc or aluminium.
