Yes, Zinc and aluminium are highly reactive metals and thats the exact reason why they are choosen to resist corrosion in other elements.

Though zinc and aluminium are highly reactive,but their oxides are non reactive.

Hence corrosive metals like iron is coated with zinc or aluminium. Once the metal is coated with zinc or aluminium oxygen and water vapour in the atomsphere react with aluminium and and zinc to form their respective oxide which are non reactive ,and forming a non reactive coating around the metal, hence covering the iron or any reactive metal and protecting it from corrosion.
