zinc dust + H2O=hydrogen gas
possibility of hazardous reactions
zinc powder will react with acids and strong alkalis , and also with water ,but more slowly , to generate hydrogen gas .
the heat of this reactions could ignite the hydrogen fine dust from processing may ignite if allowed to accumulate and subjected to an ignition source.
