due to low SRP value of zinc(-ve) it can substitute hydrogen(zero) while copper(+ve) due to high SRP cannot do so

copper doesn't liberate hydrogen when reacted with dilute hydrochloric acid as it is less reactive than Hydrogen and thus cannot displace the chlorine atom while zinc being more reactive than Hydrogen displaces chlorine to firm a salt solution of zinc chloride and liberates hydrogen
