Zinc metal in a test tube alone makes no difference, but when, Zinc metal is placed in a test tube and then Hydrocloric acid that’s HCl is added to it.
Reaction takes place as zinc is more reactive than hydrogen. So zinc reacts with chlorine to form zinc chloride.
Within few seconds bubbles starts forming on the surface of test tude and after some tne zinc disappears.
