zinc metal is placed in copper sulphate solution after sometimes the colour of solution start fading. which amongst zn or cu2+ ions is oxidised. why?

cuso4+Zn -.........Znso4+cu
.Zn replace cu. from cuso4. blue colour of cuso4 fades .and Znso4 is colorless.
