- Residue that is left upon heating in case of Zinc Nitrate is Zinc oxide (ZnO) whereas in case of the Copper Nitrate it will be Copper Oxide (CuO).
- The colour of the residue upon heating also changes to yellow when hot and white as soon as it cools down and a black solid is formed respectively in Zinc Nitrate and Copper Nitrate.
- The gas is also found to be evolved upon heating in Zinc Nitrate the gas in nitrogen dioxide and oxygen. and also in case of the copper oxide same thing is being evolved.
