Zinc is a metal In the middle reactivity series. It is a carbonate ore and is separated by the process of calcination and later it is heated in presence of limited supply of air and then, it comes to its oxide form then, again it is heated in order to reduce it to pure metal form.

Cr2O3 contains chromium and it also acts as a barrier in the method of conversion of ZnO to pure metal Zn
