Zinc Oxide is an inorganic compound with formula ZnO. It is a white powder and is insoluble in water.It is widely used as an additive in materials such as rubbers, plastics, cement, batteries etc

But when Zinc oxide reacts with hydrocholic acid it forms zinc chloride and water. It also leads in the formation of small bubbles and the release of hydrogen.
The chemical equation for this is as follow:

ZnO+2HCl=ZnCl2+H 2O
