Explanation:

Zn + H2SO4= ZnSO4 + H2…

This reaction can also be written as:

Zn + 2H+ = Zn+² + H2…..( considering- reaction is taking place at standard conditions)

V can c from above reation that :

1. Zn is oxidized

is oxidized2. Hydrogen is reduced

Thus for the above reaction to occur in forward direction…..

Zn should have more tendency to itself get oxidized and hydrogen shld have more tendency to itself get reduced..r8…

Since v know that reduction potential for zinc=-0.763 …and for hydrogen is=0

Which satisfies our condition..thus…t he reaction will occur in forward direction…. ..and it will b:

Zn + H2SO4 = ZnSO4 + H2….
