Answer:When Zn reacts with H2SO4 , H2 gas is liberated and same is the case with HCl. But when it reacts with HNO3, water comes out as a product. The actual product should be hydrogen gas but it is not liberated because nitric acid is an excellent oxidizing agent. Hence, it converts the hydrogen gas into water, thereby oxidizing it.
