a) Zn + H₂SO₄ ------>ZnSO₄ + H₂O
Here Zn has displaced 'H₂' from its sulfate solution and formed its own sulfate solution that is ZnSO₄. This tells us that Zn (Zinc) is more reactive than H₂(Hydrogen). If you observe the chemical reactivity series also you can see that Zinc has been placed quite higher than hydrogen.So Zinc is more reactive element and hydrogen less reactive . This process is called displacement reaction.
