Copper is less reactive than hydrogen that's why it can't displace hydrogen from hydrochloric acid.

Sodium

Calcium

Magnesium

Aluminium

Hydrogen

Copper

Etc

Hence copper being less reactive can't displace hydrogen from its solution of HCl.
