This is a question Division of fractions.

We want to divide the number of cups by the serving.

The division is as follows :

5  1/2 ÷ 3/4

We change the first fraction to an improper fraction.

11/2 × 4/ 3 = 22/3

= 7  1/3 cups

We Have 10 people to be served hence it will not be enough.

We want the serving that will serve 10 people.

Let the serving be x.

Therefore :

11/2 ÷ x = 10

11/2 × 1/x = 10

11/2x = 10

11 = 20x

x = 11/20

The serving should be 11/20 cup servings.

If she uses 3/4 then she will need :

10 - 7  1/3 = 2  2/3 cups more
