You might be well aware of the phenomenon of pollination takin placein plants. Pollination is the process of transfer of pollen grains from the anther of to the stigma. This can occurin the same flower or between two flowers of the same plant or between two flowers of two different plants. Different agents such as wind, water, animals etc aid in this process. The transfer of pollens enabled by animals such as birds, honey bees etc is known as zoophily.

• Zoophily is an unnatural phenomenon where a person feels sexually attracted to non-human organisms especially animals.
• Bestiality is best-known example of Zoophily where persons feel attracted sexually towards animals like goat, dog, etc.
• In most countries including India, Bestiality is a crime and persons practicing it are punished according to law of conservation of animals as well as animal protection.
• This is a mental disorder according to some scientists and can be treated with mental checkups for long time.
