Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal was always in the forefront of the national liberation struggle of India. After World War II ended, India has faced a crisis situation. While second world war and post the war, the lives of the common people of India became a mess due to the increasing food shortage, famine, lack of daily necessities, magenta, black marketing, industrial recession, job loss, bakery etc.

The failure of the Bharat Chhatro Movement of 1942 and the harsh government suppression policy resulted in the opposition of the students of India, angry and agitated and opposed to British rule. For all these political and economic reasons, until the independence from 1945 to the year 1947, there was a wave of student movement on one side of the other side of India.

Among the student movements, the student movement was the most notable for the release of the prisoners of Azad Hind Bahini. On 5th November, 1945, when the trial of Azad Hind Bahini was started in Delhi's Red Fort, school-college students became vocal about the protest.

On 10 February 1946, during the trial of Captain Rashid Ali of Azad Hind forces, the student movement of Calcutta became overwhelming. In this movement, Hindus, Muslims, peasants, workers, workers and workers participated in the movement, the student movement took the form of mass movement. Police fired several students to death.
