Answer:

0.02(0.02x+y)=5

0.02x+y=5/0.02

0.02x+y=0.1

y=0.1-0.02x

substitute the values of y in the second equation and you will get the answer

0.5(x-2)-0.4(0.1-0.02x)=29

0.5x-1-0.04-0.008x=29

0.5x-0.008x-1-0.04=29

0.42x-0.96=29

0.42x=29+0.96

0.42x=29.96

x=29.96/0.42

x=79.33

from the first equation

y=0.1-0.02(79.33)

y= 1.4866

therefore x=79.33

y=1.4866.

hope it helps you ☺️
