Question :-

Find the circumference of the circles whose diameters are :-

i) 42 cm

ii) 7 cm

iii) 9.8 cm

iv) 2.8 cm

Answer :-

We know that -

Circumference of circle = πd

where,

  • d is diameter of circle

i) d = 42 cm

Circumference = πd

= 22/7 × 42

= 132

Circumference = 132 cm

ii) d = 7 cm

Circumference = πd

= 22/7 × 7

= 22

Circumference = 22 cm

iii) d = 9.8 cm

Circumference = πd

= 22/7 × 9.8

= 30.8

Circumference = 30.8 cm

iv) d = 2.8 cm

Circumference = πd

= 22/7 × 2.8

= 8.8

Circumference = 8.8 cm
