Let us assume:

• x metres of cloth is needed for one shirt.

According to the question:

Cloth : Shirt = Cloth : Shirt

↠ x : 1 = 11 : 5

↠ x/1 = 11/5

↠ x = 2.2

Hence,

• 2.2 metres of cloth is needed for one shirt.

According to the Question :

x/1 = 11/5

5x = 11
