In this pattern we can see that each term is get by this formula,

=> n^3 - n^2

where, "n" is the number of each term.

As,

For first term, n=1 so,

1}. 1^3 - 1^2 = 1 - 1 = 0

2}. 2^3 - 2^2 = 8 - 4 = 4

3}. 3^3 - 3^2 = 27 - 9 = 18

4}. 4^3 - 4^2 = 64 - 16 = 48

Thus,

5th term will be,

5}. 5^3 - 5^2 = 125 - 25 = 100...●

Thus, the missing number in the series is 100.

●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
