Easiest method is to multiple both the equations by 10.

Now,
6x + 5y = 50 ________(1)
8x + 1y = 44 ________(2)

Now there are three ways to solve these types of linear equations.
1. Graphing
2. substitution method
3. elimination method
(There is one more way, leave it for now)

★Applying SUBSTITUTION METHOD:
6x + 5y = 50 ________(1)
8x + 1y = 44 ________(2)
From equation (2), we get:
y = 44 - 8x
Now put this value of "y" from eqn.(2) in eqn.(1), we get:
6x + 5(44-8x) = 50
→ 6x + 220 - 40x = 50
→ 220 - 50 = 40x - 6x
→170 = 34x
→ x = 170/34 = 5
Now put "x = 5" in eqn.(2), to get y:
y = 44 - 8(5)
y = 44 - 40 = 4
So, x = 5, and y = 4.

★Applying ELIMINATION METHOD:
6x + 5y = 50 ________(1)
8x + 1y = 44 ________(2)
Multiply eqn.(2) by 5, so as to make both coefficient of "y" equal,
Now eqn.(2):
(2) → 40x + 5y = 220
(1) → 6x + 5y = 50
Subtracting (2) by (1), we get:
40x - 6x + 5y - 5y = 220 - 50
34x = 170
x = 5
Put "x = 5" in eqn. (2),
y = 4
So, Finally "x = 5" and "y = 4".

Solve by any method.

Thankyou!!!
