0.9 % of NaCl solution is considered isotonic for RBC BC if RBCs are placed in 2% NaCl what will happen to the cells? what such solution called?​

Answer:

0.9% of NaCl is isotonic to RBCs.So when it placed in 0.1% NaCl solution,endo-osmosis occur.The water enter into the RBCs and the cell become swell and it finally bursts out(haemolysis of RBCs occur) and this process is known as hypotonic

When red cells are suspended in 0.5% solution which is hypotonic, the water enters into the cells and causes to burst,liberate haemoglobin in to the 0.5%solution.
