In series equivalent resistance is

Req = R1+R2+R3+………+Rn

In parallel

(1/Req)=(1/R1)+(1/R2)+…….+(1/Rn)

If n similar resistors of resistance R are connected in parallel then equivalent resistance is

Req=(R/n)

Now one set total resistance is

In series 10+20=30=R(let's say)

So 12 total sets are connected in parallel then total resistance is

Req=R/12=30/12=2.5
