distance covered =50 km
avg speed 1 = 60km/h
time taken = 50 km / 60km/h
time ==> 5/6 hr

avgspeed 2 => 80km/h
time taken = 50/80
time ==> 5/8 hr

new avg speed = total distance / total time
==> 50+50/ total time
which would be approximately 68.57 km //

hope this helps you :)

Answer:

37.5 km/hr

Explanation:

TIME = DISTANCE/SPEED

HENCE

TIME TAKEN FOR FIRST ROUND =

50/60 = 5/6 = 0.83 min

TIME TAKEN IN ROUND 2 =

50/80 = 5/8 = 0.62

TOTAL TIME + 0.62 0.83

= 1.48 hrs = 1 hr + 48 min

AVERAGE TIME = TOTAL TIME / 2

108 min / 2 = 54 min

speed = dis / time

average speed = average dis / average time

average speed = 60×50/80

Answer = 37.5 km/hr
