09. Aller giving two successive discounts of 8 % and 5 %, a scooter was sold for 36,708.
Find the listed price of the scooter,​

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

→ SP = Rs.36,708

→ Discount 1 = D1 = 8%

→ Discount 2 = D2 = 5% .

→ MP = SP * {100/(100-D1%)} * {100/(100-D2%)}

Putting values now, we get,

→ MP = 36708 * (100 /92) * (100 / 95)

→ MP = 36708 * (25/23) * (20/19)

→ MP = (36708 * 500) / (23 * 19)

→ MP = Rs.42000 (Ans.)

Hence, The Listed Price of the scooter is Rs.42000.

→ 10(MP) ---------------- 9.5(SP)

So the listed price of the scooter is RS. 42,000
