Hi ,
( 1/15 ) x² - 2/3 × x + 5/3 = 0
Multiply each term with 15 , we get
x² - 10x + 25 = 0
Compare this equation with ax² + bx + c = 0
a = 1 , b = - 10 , c = 25
D = b² - 4ac
= ( - 10 )² - 4 × 1 × 25
= 100 - 100
= 0
Using quadratic formula ,
x = [ - b ± √D ] /2a
= [ - ( - 10 ) ± 0 ] / 2
= 10/2
= 5
Therefore ,
x = 5 ( equal roots )
I hope this helps you.
