To convert : $(1.2 )^{3}$ into a decimal form .

Solution :

• as we know given decimal number can be written as fraction.

       therefore ,  $(1.2)^{3} = (\frac{12}{10}) ^{3}$

• further multiplying the fraction three times to get its cube:

                                     $= (\frac{12}{10} \times\frac{12}{10}\times \frac{12}{10} )$

                                     $= \frac{1728}{1000}$

• As there are three zeroes in the denominator therefore we write the given fraction in the from of decimal by shifting decimal at three decimal places.

                                     $= 1.728$

      Hence, $(1.2 )^{3}$ can be written as $1.728$ in its decimal form .
