CO2= 12 + 16x2 =44u
Molar mass = 44g
44g is 1mole
So 1g is 1/44 moles
So 88 g is (1/44)x88 moles =2 moles
So for 54 g of water ????????
Water molar mass is 1x2 + 16 =18g
Given mass =54g
So 18 g=1mole
Now 1g =1/18 moles
Hence 54g = (1/18)x54 moles =54/18 =3 moles
For 64 g of methane (CH4)
CH4= 12 + 1x4 =16u
Molar mass of methane =16g
16 g of methane = 1mole
So 1g of methane = 1/16 moles
Hence 64g of methane =(1/16)x64 moles =64/16 = 4 moles
Number of moles = Given mass /molar mass
