2.A bus consumes 25 litres of diesel in covering a distance of 90 kilometers. How much diesel is needed to cover 288 kilometers?

Solution :

1) Cost of 25 wheat bags = ₹ 2750

So, cost of 1 wheat bag = 2750 ÷ 25 = ₹ 110

If 40 kg wheat costs = ₹ 110

So, cost of 1 kg wheat = 110 ÷ 40 = ₹ 2.75

So, cost of 50 kg wheat = 2.75 × 50 = ₹ 137.5

So, cost of 35 wheat bags 50 kg each = 137.5 × 35 = ₹ 4812.5
