 Given \:  1 - 2a + a^{2}

 = 1^{2} - 2 \times 1 \times a + a^{2}

 = (1 - a)^{2}

 = (1-a)(1-a)

Therefore.,

 \red{ Factors \: of \: 1 - 2a + a^{2}}

 \green {= (1-a)(1-a)}
