on comparing this eq with standard form of quadratic equation ax²+bx+c=0
we get
a= 5 , b = -6 and c= -2
D= b²-4ac = -6² -4×5 ×-2 = 36 + 40 = 76
x= -b +-√D /2a = 6+- √76 /10 = 6+- 8.71 /10
when +
x= 6+8.71/10 = 14.71/10 = 1.471
when -
x= 6-8.71/10 = - 2.71 /10 = - 0.271
