Answer :-

The ratio of Harshit and Harsha present ages is 5 : 4

So, let their ages will be 5x and 4x

After 8 years there ages will be in the ratio of 6:5

Therefore,

( 5x + 8) /( 4x + 8) = 6/5

By cross multipling ,

5( 5x + 8 ) = 6( 4x + 8)

25x + 40 = 24x + 48

25x - 24x = 48 - 40

x = 8

Therefore,

The present age of Harshit = 5x = 5 * 8 = 40 years

The present age of harsha = 4x = 4 * 8 = 32 years
