Where L= length of simple pendulum (swing) (or) L= distance between
point of suspension and center of gravity of the person on swing
Thus the length of simple pendulum (swing) decreases as the
person stands up on the swing l.e. the center of gravity of the person rises
up. The frequency of oscillation is inversely proportional to the square root
of the length of the pendulum (swing). So, frequency of oscillation
increases when a person stands on a swing instead of sitting on it.
