 \frac{1 + a}{1 - a}  =  \frac{3}{2}

 \implies1 +  \frac{a}{1}  - a =  \frac{3}{2}

 \implies1 + a - a =  \frac{3}{2}

 \implies1 =  \frac{3}{2}
