We have three people namely A , B and C, Also these three people started a joint business with the capitals Rs 5k , Rs 6k and Rs 7k.

But, After three months,

  • B invests Rs 1k more.
  • C withdraws Rs 1k from his capital.

It is given that the profit for the whole year is Rs 3600. But their capitals changed after 3 months, So let's find the distribution of profit among A , B and C in the first three months.

Profit for the whole year = Rs. 3600

∴ For 1 month, Profit = Rs. 300

Hence, In the first three months,

  • Profit = Rs. 900

Now, The ratio of their capitals is 5 : 6 : 7 as A : B : C

Now,

A will get,

⇒ 5/18 × 900

⇒ 5/2 × 100

Rs. 250

B will get,

⇒ 6/18 × 900

⇒ 6 / 2 × 100

Rs. 300

and, C will get,

⇒ 7/18 × 900

⇒ 7/2 × 100

Rs. 350

Now, For the rest of the year (i.e., 9 months)

We have, Profit = Rs. 2700

Now, Let's find the distribution but we should know that the ratio of their capitals is now 5 : 7 : 6 as A : B : C as we have seen earlier.

So, A will get,

⇒ 5/18 × 2700

⇒ 5/2 × 300

Rs. 750

B will get,

⇒ 7/18 × 2700

⇒ 7/2 × 300

Rs. 1050

and, C will get,

⇒ 6/18 × 2700

⇒ 6/2 × 300

Rs. 900

So, After the year, We have the distribution of profit among A, B and C as,

  • A = 250 + 750 = Rs. 1000
  • B = 300 + 1050 = Rs. 1350
  • C = 350 + 900 = Rs. 1250

C withdraws Rs 1k from his capital.

Profit = Rs. 900

Now, The ratio of their capitals is 5 : 6 : 7 as A : B : C

⇒ 7/2 × 100

Now, For the rest of the year (i.e., 9 months)

We have, Profit = Rs. 2700

Now, Let's find the distribution but we should know that the ratio of their capitals is now 5 : 7 : 6 as A : B : C as we have seen earlier.

So, A will get,

and, C will get,

⇒ 6/2 × 300

⇒ Rs. 900

So, After the year, We have the distribution of profit among A, B and C as,

A = 250 + 750 = Rs. 1000

B = 300 + 1050 = Rs. 1350

C = 350 + 900 = Rs. 1250

hope this helps you!!
