let, no. of blue balls = x
given, probability of picking a blue ball = 3/4
no. of favorable trails/ total no. of trails = 3/4
x/(x+5) = 3/4
4x = 3(x+5)
4x = 3x+15
x= 15
∴no. of blue balls = 15
