Friends ..!

Let the average runs during 10 innings be R runs.

Therefore, his sum of scores in 10 innings = average × number of innings = R × 10 = 10R

After 11 innings his average came down by 2.

Thus Average runs after 11 innings = R - 2

Sum of runs scored after 11 innings = sum of 10 innings + runs of 11 inning = 10R + 48

Thus, average of runs of 11 inning = (10R + 48)/11

As per statement

(10R + 48)/11 = R - 2

Cross multiplication

11 (R - 2) = 10R + 48

11R - 22 = 10R + 48

11R - 10R = 48 + 22

R = 48 + 22

R = 70

Thus, the average of runs for 10 innings = 70

Average of runs for 11 innings = 70 - 2= 68

Answer : the average of runs for 11 innings are 68
