1.      A beam of I - section 250 mm deep and 150 mm wide, has equal flanges 12.5 mm thick and web 10 mm thick carries a uniformly distributed load of intensity `w' as shown in figure. Determine the maximum value of `w' at which the shearing stress and the flexural stress will attain their allowable values 110 MPa and 165 MPa, respectively.
