Given :

  • initial velocity of body , u = 10 ms⁻¹
  • acceleration of body = 2.5 ms⁻²
  • Time = 10 s

To find :

  • velocity of body after 10 seconds , v = ?

Formula used :

First equation of motion

  •  v = u + a t

( where u is initial velocity , a is acceleration , v is final velocity and t is time )

Calculation :

Using first equation of motion

→ v = u + a t

→ v = (10) + (2.5) (10)

→ v = 10 + 25

v = 35 ms⁻¹

Therefore,

Velocity of body after 10 seconds will be 35 ms⁻¹.

  • The velocity of the body after “10 s”

\bigstar \sf{\blue{\underline{\underline{\purple{SOLUTION:-}}}}}

GIVEN :-

  • A body moving with a Velocity = “10 m/s”
  • i.e, “u” (initial Velocity) = “10 m/s”

  • a (acceleration) = 2.5 m/s²

  • t (time) = 10 s

CONCEPTS :-

  • when a body moving with constant acceleration, then the Equation of Motion is,

\checkmark\:\tt{\underline{\green{\boxed{v\:=\:u\:+\:at}}}}

CALCULATION :-

☞ Now, putting the value in the above formula and get the final velocity .

\tt{\implies\:v\:=\:10\:+\:2.5\times10\:}

\tt{\implies\:v\:=\:10\:+\:25\:}

\tt{\boxed{\implies\:v\:=\:35\:m/s\:}}

Therefore, it's velocity after 10 s” is 35 m/s” .
