The story can be written as follows:

A father comes to know that his son has fallen into a bad company through various sources. He himself observed how stubborn his boy had become and how he argued on every matter. The father was worried for his son and he then thought of an idea. The father brought some apples from the grocery store and told his son to keep all the apples in a cupboard. He also told the son to place a rotten apple in the cupboard along with the apples. The next day the father told the son to check the apples. The boy bought the apples and said to his father that all of them had gotten rotten. His father then told his son 'Similarly if a person in your company is bad, all of you will be influenced by it.' The son understood what is father meant and it gave him a lesson for lifetime.

Moral : One bad apple can spoil the bunch.
