1. A car gave a reading of distance 4000km at the start of the trip and 4288km at the end of the trip. If the trip took 6hrs, calculate the average speed of the car in m/s.
2. A train 20m long passes over a bridge 100m long at a speed of 18km/h. How long will it take to pass completely over the bridge?

(i)Distance covered by car=4288-4000=288km

Time=6 hours

Speed=Distance /Time=288/6=48km/hr

In m/s=48 ×5/18 =13.33m/sec

(ii)Speed =18km/hr =18×5/18=5m/sec

Distance =length of train +length of bridge=20+100=120 m

Time=Distance/Speed =120/5 =24 seconds
