Explanation:

total distace is 10+10=20

but displacement becomes zero because the initial and final position is at same

Answer:

The distance is 20 m.

The total length between two points is called a distance.

the ball goes to the highest point (10m) and comes back to initial point (10m).Total lenght- 10+10= 20m.

The displacement is 0m.

Displacement is the length of the shortest distance from the initial to the final position.

The ball came back to its initial position after being thrown up. Thus, the ball 's initial and final position is at a common point. In other words, the distance between the initial and final position is 0m.
