1.a cube of side 1 cm of ice floats in water. calculate the volume of ice cube below the water level given that density of ice is 0.9 g/cm^3 and density of water is 1g/cm^3.calculate the volume of immersed part.
2. In above question how much point mass should be kept on the cube so that the cube is just immersed.

Let, the block of ice has a volume of v cubic cm. So, while floating in water, it should displace {(0.9 * v) / 1} cubic cm = (0.9 * v) cubic cm of water. So, 90% of its volume remains submerged in water and only 10% remains outside the water.
