1. a) Exhaustible resources

• These resources are non-renewed once exhausted
• They are non replenishable resources and finite
• Example: Iron, coal etc.

Inexhaustible resources

• These are renewable or replenishable resources.
• These resources have the ability to renew them in a given period of time and infinite.
• Example: sunlight, water etc.

B) i. It is obtained from petroleum and is used for burning in kerosene lamps and domestic heaters or furnaces, as a fuel or fuel component for jet engines.

ii. Lubricating oil, sometimes simply called lubricant/lube, is a class of oils used to reduce the friction, heat, and wear between mechanical components that are in contact with each other.

iii. It's often used in skin-softening salon and spa treatments on the hands.

iv. Diesel fuel is mostly used in high-speed diesel engines, especially motor-vehicle.
