Given

  • Radius (sphere) = 4.2 cm
  • Radius (cylinder) = 6 cm

To Find

  • Height of the cylinder

Solution

☯ Volume (Sphere) = 4/3 πr³

  • Here we shall use this formula and find the volume of tue sphere which we can further use to find the height of the sphere

☯ Volume (Cylinder) = πr²h

  • Whatever we do the volume of the cylinder will be equal to the volume of the sphere. So on Equating the both which would give us our Answer!!

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

According to the Question :

→ Volume (Sphere) = 4/3 πr³

  • Radius = 4.2 cm

→ Volume (Sphere) = 4/3 × 22/7 × 4.2

→ Volume (Sphere) = 4/3 × 22 × 0.6

→ Volume (Sphere) = 4 × 22 × 0.2

→ Volume (Sphere) = 17.6 cm³

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Height of the Cylinder :

→ Volume (Cylinder) = πr²h

→ 17.6 = 22/7 × 6² × h

→ 17.6 = 22/7 × 36 × h

→ 17.6 × 7/22 = 36h

→ 5.6 = 36h

→ 5.6/36 = h

→ Height = 0.15 cm

∴ The height of cylinder is 0.15 cm
