1. A rectangular lawn of side 10m, 5 m has a circular &
flower bed of Radius 2m in middle Find :-
a) The area of whole land
b) The area of flower bed
c) the area of land excluding the area of flower bed.
d) The circumference of flower bed

Answer:

(a)Area of whole land = l×b

= 10 m × 5 m

= 50 m......................... (1)

(b)area of flower bed =

\pi {r}^{2}

 =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 2 {}^{2}

 =  \frac{44}{7}

 = 6.28 {m}^{2}

(c)area of land after excluding flower bed's area=

total area - area of flower bed

50 {m}^{2}  - 6.28 {m}^{2}

43.72 {m}^{2}

(d)

circumference of circle

 = 2\pi {r}^{2}

2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times  {2}^{2}

 \frac{176}{7}

25.14 {m}^{2}
